Jeremy "Jerry" Chandler

Jeremy "Jerry" John Chandler, beloved husband, dad, and friend passed away on March 20, 2024 at the age of 82.  Jerry was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Clement and Jane (Rahming) Chandler.  He attended UC College and received a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.  Jerry worked as a software engineer for several manufacturing companies in the Cincinnati area. While working at Lunkenheimer he met his future wife Sharyn Senefeld and they married on August 23, 1975.  Jerry brought to the marriage his two daughters Elena and Jessica. He loved working on computers and had a gift for software solutions.  Jerry enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, sand volleyball and also coaching softball.  He enjoyed hiking and horseback riding in the National Parks – especially in Colorado and Arizona.  He  took care of many animals including dogs, cats,  and horses.  He enjoyed feeding and watching local wildlife:   birds, deer, squirrels, and occasionally raccoons and opossums. 

Jerry will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Sharyn Chandler; daughters:  Elena Chandler, and Jessica (Austin) O'Hare; siblings: Denis (Nancy) Chandler, Mary Ellen (Tom) Hale, David (Beverly) Chandler; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Deb Brandenburg, Bill (Mary) Senefeld, Sue Becker, Lynda McIntyre, Rob (Marie) Senefeld and Richard Luken.  He will also be missed by his host daughter from Germany, Marie (Moritz) Folger.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Clement and Jane Chandler; brother Gregory Chandler; brothers in law: Russ Brandenburg, Ed McIntyre, Jim Becker, and sister in law: Terry Luken.  

Prayer service with Rosary will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 5 pm and a gathering of friends will follow until 7 pm.

Memorials may be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, Hamilton, OH (where they adopted Bailey, current doggo).  A funeral home representative will be available to accept memorials during the gathering.
