William Kenneth Rohe

William K. Jr., age 85, resident of Cincinnati passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 14, 1930 to William & Lucille Rohe Sr. William had one sister, June. He served our country in the United States Army for 2 years, and on August 14, 1951 he married Maralyn Baker. They had 4 children: Cindy, Kathy, Steve & Sandy. William worked for the Saalfeld Paper Company as a salesman for 42 years until he retired. In his younger days, he played baseball, football & basketball. He played baseball for the American Legion-Bentley Post and won the American Legion National Championship in 1947. William enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, watching sports & smoking cigars. He was a simple man who loved his family. Those surviving who will honor his memory include his devoted children: Cindy Rohe (Johnn Work), Kathy (Rick) Friedmann, Steve (Laura) Rohe & Sandy (Jim) Van Curan; dear grandchildren: Kristen, Kelly, Kurt & Kara Friedman, Michael, Leanna, Alex & Miranda Rohe, Jake & Jordan Van Curan; loving great grandchildren: Brianna, Charlotte, & Claire; and dear sister: June Stith. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 11AM - 12:30 PM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Cincinnati OH 45233. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 1PM at St. Aloysius on the Ohio, 134 Whipple, Cincinnati OH 45233. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Al's School Library Fund through the funeral home.
