Rosa C Mettler

Rosa Catherine Mettler, passed away January 13, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Harrison, Ohio. She was born February 14, 1920 to the late George and Rosa (nee Knepfle) Ziegler in Harrison. She married Floyd Mettler and they had one son Michael. Rosa worked at US Shoe Factory in Harrison and then went to work at St. John's Catholic School & Church. She put in many hours in the cafeteria and also as a Custodian. She loved being a mentor to many young children in Harrison. She taught them work ethic and how to be good citizens. Even though she was 95 she loved talking about her many years of Bowling. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing and watching cooking shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd Mettler in 1977 and sister MaryAnn Larsh.

Survivors include her wonderful son and daughter in law: Michael (Gretchen) Mettler. Dear granchildren: Hilary (Michael Normand) Mettler, Matthew (Arrianna) Patrick, Ryan (Catherine) and Janie Gilmartin and Addison Rose.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 11AM to 12 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, OH 45030. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:30 PM in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Harrison, OH. Burial to follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Harrison Ohio.
