Richard A Leimann

Richard A., age 79 of Sayler Park, Ohio passed away on Wednesday December 17, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati Ohio to parents Alvin & Esther (nee Schulte) Leimann. Upon graduation from Withrow high school, Richard attended 3 years of college and later joined the United States Army and served our country from 1955 to 1958. On October 10, 1959 he married Brenda (nee Swager) and they had 2 children: Richard J. & Lynn. He worked for the City of Cincinnati as a Fireman, retiring after 20 years. Richard took great pride in his profession and was very well-liked among everyone in the department. He enjoyed raising "show-bird" pigeons, and has won many awards with his prize-winning birds. He loved camping, fishing, spending time with his family and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Brenda (nee Swager); cherished children: Richard J. Leimann Sr. & Lynn Arnsperger; devoted grandsons: Cory (Jordan) Arnsperger, Nick Arnsperger & Richard Leimann Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin Leimann & Esther (nee Schulte) Leimann Bowman.
Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of service at noon at the Eden Chapel UMC, 150 Dahlia, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233. Memorials may be made to the Eden Chapel UMC through the funeral home.
