Pauline Gillman Obituary
Pauline A. (nee Giesting) Gillman resident of Harrison, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 95. She was born on August 2, 1921 in Oldenburg, Indiana to Joseph and Catherine (nee Harpring) Giesting.
Those who will miss Pauline the most are her children Paul (Ann), Michael (Cindy), David (Lisa), Ernest, and Daniel Gillman, Diann (Kirk) Fischesser, Marilyn McDermott, and son-in-law Edward Young; sister Rosemary (Joe) Stercz and sister-in-law Margie Schudder. grandchildren: Zachary "Zac", Benjamin, Matthew, Amy, Nicholas, Scott, Abby, Alex, Erin, Halley, and Chirly Gillman, Elizabeth Bezanson Cornelious and Daniel Bezanson, Hana, Henry, Nora, and Julia Fischesser; great grandchildren: Margot, Sabine, and Oliver Cornelius. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Gillman, her parents Joseph and Catherine (nee Harpring) Giesting, daughter Teresa Young and son-in-law Michael McDermott; brothers Leonard, Frank "Doc", Joseph, John, Virgil "Cap", and Arnold Giesting; sisters Cleo Hirt and Edna Sidell.
Pauline loved gardening and giving the fruits of her labor away. She was a great cook and her cinnamon rolls were like no other. Pauline enjoyed baking and made sugar cookies for every holiday.
Visitation will be Saturday April 8, 2017 from 9AM-11AM at Brater-Winter Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday April 8, 2017 at 11:30AM at St. John the Baptist Church.
