Leo Kuntz Obituary

Leo William "Bill" Kuntz, age 90, passed away Feb. 20, 2016. Bill was a lifelong resident of Harrison.

He was born June 23, 1925 to the late George E and Margaret (nee Schneider) Kuntz. He married Lillian "Sis" Knepfle and they had two daughters: Lindy and Jody. Bill and Sis were great inspirations of what love was between couples. They also loved the community and had many parties over the years in their home. Bill was co-owner of the Harrison Press for 46 years. Many people knew Bill as the Voice of the Wildcats for 59 years. He was inducted into the Harrison High School Hall of Fame and was also an Ohio State Football ticket holder for 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Lillian "Sis" Kuntz in 2006; grandson William Stephen Ranz; his brothers: Robert & George Jr. Kuntz; and a brother in law: Lawrence "Snook" Knepfle.

Survivors include his loving daughters: Lindy (Stephen) Ranz & Jody (John) Sweeney; sister in law: Jeanne Cooper, and dear nieces and nephews: Robbin Stewart, Greg Kuntz, Kathy & Mark Cooper and Jannie Rolfes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 26 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Harrison, OH. Burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Harrison Athletic Boosters or PAWS of Dearborn County through the funeral home. If you are unable to attend the services you can mail your donation to the funeral home.
