John Sefton Obituary
John E. Sefton, resident of Sunman, IN, age 82, passed away December 7, 2017 in his home. He was born on October 11, 1935 to Grover and Lillie (nee Nixon) Sefton. On July 16, 1994 he married Nancy (nee Billman) Sefton. John enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and his cattle farm. He was a hard worker and he enjoyed building ponds for many people in the area.
He is preceded in death by his son-in-law: Wayne Poore; his great-grandson: Izak Poore; 4 siblings: Grover-Ray Sefton, Bud Anderson, Mildred Balser, Mary Jackson and infant twins Allen and Alma; and 3 brothers-in-law: Don White, Bob Vaughn, and Bob Ley.
Survivors include his loving wife: Nancy (nee Billman) Sefton; devoted children: Vicky (fiancé Scott Stegall) Poore, Mark (Lisa) Sefton, Cathy Lozier, and Steve (Amy) Sefton; cherished grandchildren: Jason (Jami) Poore, Cindy (Michel) Buchheister, Jarrod Poore, Trevor (Sydney) Sefton, Tanya Sefton, Chris Bush, Erin Sefton, Emily Sefton, Ryan (Sophia) Fox, Kerry (Robert) Deborde, Kelly Fox, and Dylan Cubert; great-grandchildren: Gunnar Poore, Maverick Sefton, Peyton Otjen, Alison Deborde, Brooklyn Ryan, Aiden Fox, and 3 on the way; Dear siblings: Belva White, Betty Vaughn, and Carolyn Ley; brother-in-laws: Lowell Jackson and Tommy (Vicki) Billman; sister-in-law: Carol (Rich) Ragar; Nieces: June Allen and Judy (Al) Bingle; Nieces-in-law: Kathie (Tom) Scott, Karen Puening; Nephews-in-law: Nick and Greg Billman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030.
