Irene McKain Obituary
Irene Alice (nee Benning) McKain, age 88, resident of Harrison, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was born on January 23, 1927 to Martin and Alice Benning. Irene married Edwin William McKain on January 1, 1948 of which they were married for 66 years.
Irene and Ed were blessed with four children; Karen, Gregory, Tim and Mark. Irene played a vital roll working in their family business McKain Heating and Air Conditioning. She was a life long member of Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women's group along with being an avid bridge player and participated in league bowling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those surviving who will honor Irene's memory include her loving children: Karen (Ken) Brech, Greg (Debbie) McKain, and Mark McKain; former daughter-in-law: Mary McBride; 8 loving grandchildren and 14 loving great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Larry (Jean) Benning, sister Marie (Earl) Godfrey and brother-in-law Tex Whitley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Edwin; loving son Tim and her loving sister LaVerne. Private burial will be held at convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church 9700 Dry Fork Road, Harrison, OH 45030
