Gregory Rolfes Obituary

Gregory M., age 51, resident of Cincinnati formerly of Harrison Ohio passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Greg was born in Cincinnati Ohio on April 6, 1964 to Charles & Norma (nee Pfaff) Rolfes. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1982. During his high school years, Greg played golf and soccer. After graduation he attended Miami University and later transferred and graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Greg's first love was golf. He worked as an Asst. Pro at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course and later as Head Pro at Miami View Golf Course. Greg's loved quickly changed once he had his children: Patrick & Nick. He loved coaching both of his boys' soccer teams and attending all of their athletic events, and even started to be a soccer referee. In most recent times, Greg enjoyed camping and went on a family camping trip in June 2015 to Spring Mill State Park. Like his dad, Charles, Greg will be remembered by most for his humor, jokes and pranks.
Those surviving who will honor Greg's memory include his loving mother: Norma (nee Pfaff) Rolfes; cherished sons: Patrick & Nick; ex-wife & friend: Kate Hirst Rolfes; beloved siblings: Cindy (Dave) Lyness, Brent (Robbin) Rolfes, & Jeff (Teri) Rolfes; man's best friend: Dimitri; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rolfes earlier this year.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 10AM until the time of the service at 11AM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial at St. John's Cemetery will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Foundation or Parkinson's Disease Association.
