Francis Brinkmann, passed away September 29, 2017 age 90. Resident of Sayler Park. Francis was born on November 19, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Francis Sr. and Marie (nee Knue) Brinkman. He graduated in 1944 from St. Xavier High School. Then joined the US Army and served in WWII until 1945. He went to work for the Railroad while also going to Xavier College. He married Joan Dressing in 1951. They were blessed with 5 children: David, Judy, Barbara, Robert and Ann Marie. Francis worked all of his life for the Railroad doing every little job up to being Chief Clerk until his retirement.
Francis was the devoted husband of 65 years to the late Joan Brinkmann; loving father of David (Diane) Brinkmann, Judy (Chuck) Hagedorn, Barbara (Mark) Greiner, Robert (Jacqulyn) Brinkmann and the late Ann Marie Brinkmann. Cherished grandfather of Alex (Cristy) & Elyse Brinkmann, Katie (Brandon) Kiefer, Sara (Matt) Murrell, Gina (Nick) Balzer, Anna Hagedorn, Mike (Jena), Dave, Steve & Beth Greiner, Jami (Steve) Day, Mathew (Renee) & Daniel (Sigourney) Brinkmann; Wonderful great grandfather of 9 great grandchildren: Brendan & Devin Day, Lila & Kylie Kiefer and Ava, Dean & Grayson Brinkmann, Griffin & Addison Greiner. Dear brother of James (Kye) Brinkman and Rose Mary (the late Jerry) Kuley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, OH 45233. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 AM at St. Aloysius on the Ohio. Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius on the Ohio or Hospice of Cincinnati through the funeral home by bringing your donation to the visitation or Mass and giving it to a funeral home representative. They will notify the family of your donation and forward to listed charity.
