Florence Blades Obituary

Florence Eleanor, age 88, resident of Cincinnati formerly of Brookville Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Florence was born on December 9, 1926 in Franklin County Indiana to George & Josephine (nee Banks) Blades. She graduated from Whitewater High School and received a B.A. from Bob Jones University in Elementary Education and a M.A. from University of South Alabama. She taught at Greystone Christian School in Mobile, Alabama for 27 years and then Brookville Elementary School for 11 1/2 years. She was a member of the Franklin County Retired Teacher's Association.
Those surviving who will honor her memory include loving nieces/nephews: Cheryl (Bob) Edwards, Marcia (Bennett) Ruter & Kenneth Blades; dear great grand niece/nephews: Grace Mary Ruter & Bennett Ruter Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Earl (Becky) Blades & Hazel Wallace.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 1PM until the time of service at 2PM at the Rockdale United Methodist Church, 1195 Johnson Fork Road, West Harrison, Indiana 47060. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockdale UMC Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
