Edwin Joseph Martini

Edwin Joseph Jr., age 66, resident of Sayler Park passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 6, 1948. He was the son of Edwin " Epp" Joseph & Cecilia "Ceil" (nee Spille) Martini Sr. and was one of four children. Edwin attended Stowe School, in Cincinnati and received his diploma. He was a huge "Big Red Machine" and Cincinnati Reds fan and was even nicknamed, "Sparky" by his dad. Edwin loved listening to music on his record player, especially his favorite artist, Elvis Presley. Some of his fondest memories are of his family reunions at "Martini Park". Although he hated getting up every morning, he spent many years working at Franks Adult Center doing various things, and enjoyed all the people there. Eddie loved his family and enjoyed all the time they spent together and will be greatly missed by them all.

Those surviving who will honor his memory include dear siblings: Virginia (the late Roy) Meyer, Diana (the late Robert) Vaughn & Dale (Denise) Martini; beloved nieces & nephews: Laura & Austin Tope, Susan (Joe) Bethard, Andrew Meyer, Lisa (Dan) Horton & Sophie, Jessica (Dave) Johnston & Kaitlyn, Brandon (Shannon) Martini & Bryan, Ashley (Andrew Gallo) Martini, & Kim, David & Thomas Farrington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Alice Meyer.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 6-8PM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Cincinnati OH, 45233. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10AM at St. Al's on the Ohio, 134 Whipple, Cincinnati OH, 45233. Memorial donations may be made to the Franks Adult Center through the funeral home.
