Dennis Hering Obituary
Dennis "Denny" Hering, resident of Okeana, OH, passed away on August 25, 2017 at the age of 62. He was born on August 24, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH to Robert G. and Margaret (nee Tierney) Hering. He married Deborah Cain on May 5, 1978 and they were blessed with 4 children: Erica, Doug, Stacey & Mandi.
Denny worked for Pepsi as a District Sales Manager Position for 44 years. He loved his family and was always involved in their lives. He was a coach for Harrison Youth Football for over 10 years and coached soccer. Denny enjoyed cruises with Debbie every year, fishing and bowling. Most important to him was his family and being a role model for teaching Integrity and working hard in life.
Those who will miss him the most are his loving wife Debbie Hering; devoted children: Erica (Scott) Kovacs, Doug (Stephanie) Hering, Stacey (Jason) Powell, Mandi (Jared) Vogelsang; Cherished grandchildren: Landon, Cameron, Cohen, Madison, Rylee, Ricky, Kennedi, Harper & Luke; beloved siblings: Tammy, Dan and Peggy Ann Hering; Father-in-law: Bill Cain; brother-in-laws: Rob(Gina), Jeff (Laura), and Tom (Denise) Cain; Sister-in-law: Shari (Bill) Florence; and many nieces and nephews.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law: Mary Lou Cain; and his sister: Debbie. A Memorial Mass will be held on August 31, 2017 at 12 Noon at All Saints Catholic Parish (St. Joseph Campus) 7536 Church Lane, St. Leon, IN 47060. Following mass at 2 PM, the family will hold a celebration in honor of Denny at Blue Note at 9660 Dry Fork Rd, Harrison, OH.
