Carrie M. (nee Smith) Roessler, resident of Cleves formerly a resident of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away on May 6, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born on June 16, 1931 in Hazard, KY to the late Henry and Gladys (nee Roberts) Smith. She Married Donald H. Schalk and they were blessed with 5 children: Donald, John, Janet, Dixie & Vickie. Carrie worked on the assembly line at Campbell Hausfeld and then worked at Perfect North after retirement. Donald passed away in 1985. She met and married Leslie Roessler on May 6, 1995. Carrie loved traveling with friends and with Les. She enjoyed card club and for over 60 years loved Bowling.
Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Donald Schalk, brother Frankie Lee Knapp,sister Mildred Poye and sister-in-law: Tina Schalk.
Survivors include her loving husband of 21 years Leslie Roessler. Devoted children: Donald "Mike" (Shirley), John (Betty) & Vickie Schalk, Janet (Lambert) Ison, & Dixie (Jeff) Myers. Step daughter Mary Diane (Rick) Day. Grandchildren: Brandy (Jamie) Jacob, Shannon (Keith) Caruso, Holly Schalk, Dawn Ison, Miranda (Jason) Maddock, Stacie (Blake) Neeley, Jason (Whitney) Myers, Megan (Josh) Tolley, and Matthew (Julie Brenier) Meyers and 15 great grandchildren: Trevin Manderschied, Julie Jacob, Lita, Mia, Sophia Caruso, Chloe Davidson, Reagan & Andrew Maddock, Mason, Avery Neeley, Kaylee & Brayden Myers, Rilynn & Addison Tolley & Kylie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030.
