Carl Greenham Obituary
Carl Eugene Greenham, age 83 of Harrison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born May 14, 1932 in Harrison, Ohio to the late George and Marie "Jo" (nee Wurtzler) Greenham. He graduated William Henry Harrison High School in 1950. Carl then attended University of Cincinnati School of Pharmacy and graduated in 1954. He married Thelma Rolfes on July 17, 1954 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison. Carl served his country with honor in the US Army. He and Thelma were blessed with two daughters Karen and Ann. Many people knew Carl as the Owner and Pharmacist of the Village Pharmacy. He did so much for the Harrison Community: Harrison Township Trustee and on the Board of Directors at Merchants Bank and Trust. Carl loved fishing and he and Thelma had a dry dock boat and enjoyed fishing all of the Great Lakes. He also was musically talented. He played the Saxophone in the "Blue Chip Big Band."
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Virginia, and great granddaughter Hailey Meibers.
Those who will continue Carl's legacy is his loving wife of 61 years: Thelma (nee Rolfes); devoted daughters and son in laws: Karen (Gary) Back, & Ann (John) Vanderpohl; cherished grandchildren: Miranda (Mark) Meibers, Beth (Josh) Jackson, Ellie & Nick Vanderpohl; dear great grandfather of Jacob Back, Grant & Madison Meibers, Cameron Jackson & the late Hailey Meibers; and special cousin: Betty Wurtzler.
Visitation will be Fri., Sept. 4, 2015 from 4-7PM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison Ohio 45030. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat., Sept. 5, 2015 at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, (corner of Park and Hill St.) Harrison. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, ALS, or charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. If you will be attending the visitation you may make a donation with a funeral home representative. If you are unable to attend then you may mail your donation to the funeral home but make check payable to charity. We will notify the family and mail donations to Charity.
