Alson Robert "Bob", age 87, resident of Cincinnati passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was born in Los Angeles, California on January 11, 1928 to Al & Doras (nee Soost) Harm. Bob was blessed with a brother, Dorsan James "Jim", and they grew up together in Bloomfield, Nebraska. He attended high school in Bloomfield, Nebraska. During his high school years, Bob worked as a "printer's devil" asst. at a local newspaper. After graduation he attended college in Lincoln, Nebraska where he received his bachelor's degree in Engineering. On February 27, 1959, after a short engagement, he married Carol Pless. Bob spent his working years with Westinghouse, and then Procter & Gamble and later retired in 1984 from P&G. Bob and Carol were blessed to adopt 2 children: Greg and Pamela. He loved to go canoeing, and target shooting. Over the years, Bob and Carol traveled to many places including: British Isles, Canada, Paris, New Zealand, Australia, and Alaska. Bob loved his family, and the time they spent together.
Those surviving who will honor his memory include, loving wife: Carol (nee Pless); devoted son: Gregory Harm; cherished grandchildren: Matthew, Richard, Daniel & Emily Harm; and loving brother: Dorsan James "Jim" (Joanie) Harm; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving daughter: Pamela Lynn Harm.
A Gathering of Friends will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 2-7PM at the Atria Northgate Park, 9191 Round Top Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45251. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project through the funeral home by mailing your donation directly to the funeral home.
